LIFT Center offers healthcare at Fallon Park Elementary

There’s a new healthcare hub ready to help students and families at Fallon Park Elementary School in Roanoke. It’s called the LIFT Center, which stands for “Local Impact for Tomorrow.” The LIFT Center offers a pediatric clinic, dental care, mental health services, health and wellness education, and more to Fallon Park Elementary students who otherwise may not have access to healthcare. LIFT (Local Impact for Tomorrow) held a ribbon-cutting on March 24, 2022, for the new LIFT Center at Fallon Park Elementary School. LIFT offers a holistic approach to good health and well-being to the students and families of Fallon Park Elementary. The center features a pediatric clinic, oral health and mental health services, financial coaching, health and wellness education, and access to other resources in one convenient location attached to the school....

Roanoke community gathers for “Local Impact for Tomorrow” Center ribbon cutting

Thursday was a day four years in the making. “With the input of school leadership, teachers, parents and guardians, a vision formed. To create a place where not only health needs of students are addressed, but also family needs and other needs. A place where trends are reversed. Where people can learn not only to survive, but thrive,” said Shirley Holland, Carilion Vice President of Planning and Community Development. That vision is now a reality with the opening of the Local Impact for Tomorrow Center at Fallon Park Elementary School.

Roanoke City Public Schools opens health and wellness center connected to Fallon Park Elementary

Keeping students safe and healthy is a priority for all school leaders. Roanoke City Schools is now taking it a step further by building a new health and wellness center connected to an elementary school.

After four long years of planning, building and dealing with a pandemic, LIFT Center, an acronym for local impact for tomorrow will open its doors at Fallon Park Elementary School. The project was made possible with partnerships between Roanoke City School, Carilion Clinic, Delta Dental and Freedom First Credit Union.
